Born in 1939, Peter Nicholls does encyclopedias. The most wonderful Hugo winning sf encyclopedias I've ever seen. He escaped Australia in 1968, and returned in 1988 to live in Melbourne. Given his knowledge of the field, I wish he were writing up these web pages (but there seems no way to make them pay).
